Bio

Premise

This world is run and was created by the Dalang. They watched humans move from test to test that they gave them to learn all they can about them, raising them. And after raising and testing on how far the humans could go starting from nothing, and how well they thrive and adapt and breed, they are coming to the last and final experiment. To bring nightmares to life and to have people placed into their deepest fears. To see how humans reacted to unspeakable evils and grotesque beings. The kinds that give you chills and make you bolt in the middle of the night covered in sweat.

Humans had no knowledge of this until their world began to be over run by Nightmares. The influence of the Dalang was discovered and threw the Earth in an uproar. Panic spread and the Nightmares only sped up the collapse of humans. Some humans decided to organize and rebel against their constantly controlled life by starting to build underground cities to evade the alien scientists.

Unfortunately, the Dalang grew infuriated that the humans thought they could run away and hide from them. The humans could not win. The rebels were hunted down and had their minds taken over by a little larvae like creature called a Ritpel. With their minds wiped however, the people could no longer be used as test subjects. Now devoid of emotion and much thinking processes other then doing what they were told, the humans on Earth were not suitable test subjects. So the aliens stretch through time and space and find some other test subjects for their experiments.

However the upgrades were costly and the research project had to make a few cutbacks. Keeping the cities running and taking care of all the Ritpel infected natives was too much.

So they let everyone loose on Earth and watched how they scrambled to survive.

Earth, to you, is something dark and destroyed. With rubble on the surface where the great building used to be, trees gnarled twigs with no traces of vegetation anywhere, and water smelling strongly of rotten eggs. The landscape changes sharply and doesn’t follow logic, a swamp leading into a desert or a town standing in perfect condition while the surrounding area is covered in a lava flow. Not only that, but the world is over run with Nightmares still. And they seem drawn to you, though whether they want to hurt or look you over curiously is not something you want to wait to find out.

You are not alone though, there is the mayor. Mayor of the now destroyed city of Higure who knows what is safe to eat and has an idea of where to go in the constantly shifting world. The mayor is not like anyone else in the group. He was born on this world and knows much more then he can say. He guides the small group of people towards what may be an area where more people may be located that may have a way out of this world. They walk, hunt for food, and thank whatever gods they believe in when they find a building so they can have more then a tent over their heads at night.

Unless you have a better idea of where to go, it would probably be best to stay with the group.
